About
The Kenan Institute Asia is a Thailand-based, non-profit development organization working to promote results-oriented, sustainable development in Asia with an emphasis on the Greater Mekong Subregion. K.I.Asia provides project management, consulting, training, and research services for corporate, government and multilateral clients. The focus areas of KIAsia include entrepreneurship, business and economic development, education, public health, and corporate social and environmental responsibility.
Program description
“New Entrepreneur Creation program” consists of 9 modules including government policy and support mechanisms for Thai’s SMEs, opportunity analysis for new entrepreneurs, marketing, HR and business law and company visits. Usually, the program starts on January and takes around 2 months to finish.
Participants
The participants are targeted new and potential entrepreneur, those who plan to establish business within 2 years and existing business owners that have been established less than 2 years. Generally. They include new graduate, unemployment, SMEs owners (business less than 2 years), current employees that expected to set up business, potential entrepreneurs, and those who plan to succeed their family businesses. The age are vary from 22 – 60, which the majority average of 30-40.
Applications
No tuition fee. The applicants are required to send the draft business plan/ideas to KIAsia for consider, the committee evaluate that the business are viable and the applicants has somewhat supported resources to make business possible. The applicants then required for an interview with committee, from their institution and government agency (sponsor) to evaluate the commitment of applicants. The score for each applicant are then ranked for eligible to the courses.
