Pravah, registered in 1993, is a registered non-profit organization based in New Delhi, India. We work with adolescents, youth organizations and institutions working with young people to impact issues of social justice through youth citizenship action.

Campus Catalyst is supported by Centre for Innovation in Voluntary Action (CIVA.

Participants
You can apply for Change Looms if you are aged 17-27 years, the founder and leader of a youth-led, independent social initiative which is in operation for at least 4-6 months, with long term plans for social change. The initiative(s) should have an outreach of at least 50 young people through their group or the action undertaken and should constitute either of college students involved in social action on or outside their campuses in India, or young individuals working on campuses.

Change Looms is a support programme for young people who have started their own initiative for social change. It is a joint venture between Pravah and Ashoka: Innovators for the Public, supported by the Youth and Civil Society Initiative of the Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Global Fund for Children. Change Looms is not a funding agency, and any financial assistance is purely linked to facilitating learning and development of youth leaders and their organizations.

Program description
The focus of Change Looms is to facilitate your learning and development as young person leading social change. The key components of the Change Looms program are a one-week residential workshop where participants meet other youth from across the country to build your skills, refine your ideas and program designs, reflect on yourself as a leader of social change, and receive feedback from peers and experiences social sector leaders. In the DAC, participants develop a learning plan to submit as your proposal for participating in the Learning Phase.

The Learning Phase: Based on the learning plans submitted after the DAC, selected candidates will be invited for a 9-10 month Learning Phase in which participants work with a mentor, participate in collective learning events, go for exposure visits, invite resource people to engage with you, and participate in peer learning with other Changeloomers. You will receive guidance and financial support to enable you to implement your learning plan.

Program description
We support start up social entrepreneurs, typically in years 0-3 of their project lifecycle, by providing:

Eligibitlity criteria incl. applicant(s) must be over the age of 16, must be resident in India and must have the passion & the drive to make a positive change. Applicant must have an idea or an existing project. The project must not be legally registered for more than four years.

The one year Youth Venture Fellowship incl. three workshops over 3 months. 1. Following this preparation each team presents their project to a panel of professionals. Based on the panelists feedback the Venturers launchwithf Rs. 5000 Seed funding. Along with the workshops and site visits, each team joins the Community of Changemakers, where teams often gain inspiration and learning from each other. Youth Venture also provides networking, guidance and seed funding of a total of Rs. 10000 (250 $) Youth Venture also provides a professional mentorship program.Towards the end of the fellowship year, Youth Venture connects teams who are interested in continuing their project in touch with other organizations.

Currently the program is up and running in two locations, Mumbai and Songadh, a tribal village 60 km from Surat, Gujarat. These young people range from the age of 15 to 24, comes from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds.

Youth Venture is a one year fellowship. The Youth Venture team conducts outreach in colleges and youth organizations calling for applicants. There is a simple application form that needs to be filled out and based on this individuals are invited to attend the first three workshops. BYST, a non-profit organisation was set up in 1992 primarily to help disadvantaged Indian youth to develop business idea’s into viable enterprises with the guidance

Program description
BYST supports ventures both in the manufacturing and servicing sector, turning job seekers into job creators. On approval of proposal applicants are provided a whole range of Business Development Services along with a Mentor, who gives guidance until the venture takes off. Presently BYST is operational in six regions of India - Delhi, Chennai, Rural Haryana, Pune, Hyderabad and Rural Maharashtra. Out of these six regions four regions run the urban programme, while two regions run the rural programme.

BYST is keen on working with young people in the age group of 18 - 35, who are either unemployed or underemployed. We invite individuals with sound imaginative business ideas, along with the will and determination to succeed.

1.) Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC): Each Camp, of 3 days duration, aims to create awareness among students about various facets of entrepreneurship while highlighting the merits of pursuing such a career option. In each EAC, about 75 students are exposed to different aspects of entrepreneurship, including opportunity guidance, services offered by agencies of support system etc. A visit to the industries located in the region is also arranged to bring the students in direct touch with practicing entrepreneurs.
2.) An Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP), of 6-8 weeks duration, aims at training the S&T graduates and the diploma holders in the essentials of conceiving, planning, initiating and launching an economic activity or an enterprise successfully Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP)
3) Open Learning program in Entrepreneurship (OLE): is a programme in the distance education mode, under which potential entrepreneurs are provided not only with study material but also guidance by resource persons during the contact sessions in different parts of the country.
4) Technology Based Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP): is a structured training programme of 6-weeks duration designed to motivate and develop entrepreneurs in specific products/technologies/processes developed by CSIR labs, R&D institutions, universities etc.
