My Story
Intro
Between 80 to 120 million people lose their phones every year. Losing a phone is not only expensive; people lose their important priceless privacy and data, as less than 20% of mobile users today have a regular backup of their data. Today our mobiles have already become our phonebook, email, camera, navigation device, etc. Tomorrow, it will even become our wallet, our keys, our identity and more. As it becomes a more important part of our daily lives, the consequence of losing a phone will only be more critical. Rishi has the most innovative solution on the market that might just save your life when you loose your phone.
About Me
I grew up in the nawabi city of India, Lucknow. In my younger days when I was about 10 years old, I wanted to be a cricketer. Sachin Tendulkar was and is still, my idol. So I went to meet his coach in Bombay. I got selected and was to stay in his house to learn cricket but my mom did not want me to stay away from home as she thought I was too young.
I got my first computer at the age of 12 and I got hooked on to it, spent nights and nights writing all sorts of programs. Problem solving was my thing. It gave me a lot of thrill. I wanted to take it one step further. I knew that in order to solve big problems my way, I had to be my own boss and being an entrepreneur was the natural course.
I did my bachelors in computer science, joined a startup as soon as I graduated. I worked there for two years, and took the plunge and started tenCube.
With tenCube we want to solve the problem of handphone loss and theft. The problem is a big one, which makes it all the more exciting. When I am not working at this problem, I enjoy listening to music, meeting new people, reading about new technology, gymming. My Venture
I always wanted to start up. I took up my first job at a startup and saw firsthand the various aspects of running one and then stated tenCube.
tenCube is focused on solving the problem of mobile device and data loss and theft. We believe that one should not be able to lose a device that cannot function without being connected to the network at all. It is very painful to lose your mobile phone especially when it is increasingly becoming your all purpose device. tenCube’s flagship product WaveSecure is a great solution for this. You can not only backup and wipe data, you can also locate your phone (with or without gps) and track down the sim cards put in the device when it is lost, so that it becomes easier to get back the device.
