My Story
Intro
A present can bring a smile on the face of your loved ones. I can open hearts and express your deep feelings for someone. Jyoti has the heart and eye to create personalized gift that can achieve exactly that, by creating gifts you want to keep for life.
About Me
I am Jyoti Ramnath from India. From childhood on, I have been setting goals for myself and have worked hard to achieve them. I love the feeling I get when I achieve what I have dreamed of and it provides me lots of confidence to move ahead towards realizing bigger dreams. I spend a lot of time on self-development either by listening to podcasts or reading books on various topics, for example on business skills, leadership, goal setting and communication. I keep hunting for courses which I can enroll myself into. One of such courses, which I attended in 2007, was at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. The course focused on entrepreneurship and was called MPWE (Management Program for Women Entrepreneurs). This course provided a turning point in my life and that’s when my venture CraftMyGift was born.I always wanted to lead a team. I wanted to have an executive position to take business decisions, so I started my own business to do all that at a young age. But as I started working on my venture, I realized entrepreneurship is not only that. It is a big challenge to build a profitable venture from scratch and it requires you to develop yourself in areas, which are completely out of your comfort zone. But I am enjoying every moment of it and every downfall is teaching me things that I would never learn by readying a book or observing someone.
I like to keep a positive outlook towards life and want to be an achiever. I often tell my friends that in another 10-15 years, I want to see my name in the top of the list of Fortune 500 Most Powerful Women in Business.
My Venture
CraftMyGift was born as an idea during my course MPWE at IIM-B. I took it up seriously when the idea won the first prize at the business plan competition held as part of the course and later my idea was also selected for incubation at NSRCEL incubation center at IIM-B.CraftMyGift was started to help people create exclusive and highly personalized gifts for their loved ones, gifts which are filled with emotions and touch the heart of the recipient.
All my childhood and teenage years, I have been providing a shoulder to cry on for my friends listening to their problems & providing them the required warmth and advice. This skill has become a huge benefit for me in CraftMyGift as the business is all about understanding people’s emotions and creating the right gift for them, which they would want to preserve for their lifetime.
CraftMyGift started off working purely in the gifting space but now we have also ventured into advising businesses on how they can emotionally connect with their customers by adding personal touches to their products and services. Each order we deliver adds a big smile on someone’s face and that gives us lots of satisfaction in what we do.
I plan to make CraftMyGift a company with a global presence, working with various businesses & individuals as a personalization expert. I want us to have multiple branches spread across different countries serving people all around the world.
